Here are the answers to some questions you may have
What is a data region?
A data region refers to the geographical location where your files and personal data are stored. pCloud offers two options: the United States (Dallas, Texas) and the European Union (Luxembourg).
What data is stored in my region of choice?
All your files, account metadata, and backups are stored exclusively in the data region you select. pCloud ensures that your data remains within this region unless you authorise a change.
Can I change my data region after signing up?
Yes, you can request a data region change through your account settings at my.pCloud.com. Please note that there's a one-time fee of $19.99 for this service. For Family or Business accounts, only the account owner can initiate this change.
Can I store data in multiple regions simultaneously?
Currently, pCloud does not support storing data across multiple regions. Your data resides solely in the region you choose during account setup.
Can I collaborate with users in a different data region?
Collaboration features like "Invite to folder" are restricted to users within the same data region, while shared links can be used across regions. Learn more
How does pCloud protect my data?
pCloud employs 256-bit AES encryption during and after file transfers, uses TLS/SSL protocols, and stores multiple copies of your files across secure servers. Additionally, you can enable client-side encryption for enhanced security.
